• A case under Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 25/12/2006 and 01/01/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house of one Jabar Singh Purohith (46) R/o C-203 Kodiyal Manson Kodiyalgutthu Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of Malaysian Teak Wood doorframes (27 Nos) all in worth Rs. 45,000/.

• A case under Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with Outraging the modesty of woman has been registered in Moodbidre Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1830 hrs at Gandhi Nagar Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk accused Yashwantha, Ganapathi and Leela abused one Shakunthala (40) R/o Gandhi Nagar Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her with wooden stick and also outraged her modesty by pulling her hand owing to trivial issue

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 02/01/2007 at 1200 hrs on NH 48 near St. Stephen Church at Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk one Sali Sebastian (42) w/o Sebastian R/o Kolalu village Puttur Taluk driver of Maruti Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4254 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Ratnavathi (70) W/O Naranappa R/o Padubettu Nelyadi village a pedestrian who sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 01/01/2007 at 0005 hrs on NH 17 at Kapikad Ullal village Mangalore Taluk one Kishore @ Praveen Kishore D’ Silva (21) R/o Padeel Mangalore Taluk driver of Qualis car bearing Reg No. KA-19-C-5797 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-1339. As a result one Krishnappa R/o Ranipura Mangalore driver of said Tempo and Jayaraj (16) R/o Permannu Village Mangalore a passenger in the said tempo sustained grievous injuries. Further Krishnappa succumbed his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 02/01/2007 at 1445 hrs at Kenchanakere Kilpady village one Jagadish driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4480 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to a motorcycle bearing Reg. No-KA-19-V-9406. As a result Subramanya Bhat (50) R/o Yekkar village Kateel Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 02/01/2007 at 1700 hrs at Murukaveri Junction Aikala village one Udaya driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. CNO-8852 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Lithesia Vaz (66) a pedestrian who sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 01/01/2007 at 1430 hrs on NH 17 at Kottara Chowki Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6519 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Auto Tempo bearing Reg.No. KA-19-B-5881 driven by one Padhmanabha Shetty (32) R/o Dhota Mane Mijaru Mangalore Taluk. As a result Tempo driver sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 2300 hrs at Nanthoor Padavu Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8386 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Keshava a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodbidri Police Station. On 01/01/2007 1400 hrs near Arjuna Matt Shirthadi village Mangalore Taluk one Raju @ Rajendra Jain driver of Tavera Car bearing Reg. No. MH-04-CM-5619 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bicycle driven by one Shekar Poojary Shirthadi village Mangalore Taluk. As a result bicycle rider sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Hurt along with Attempt to Murder has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 2350 hrs near Daddalakadu Ashok Nagar Mangalore Taluk accused Keshva assaulted one Dinesh (28) R/o Daddalakadu Ashok Nagar Mangalore Taluk with knife and attempted to kill him owing to family dispute between them.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 2100 hrs at Kadakkar Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk accused Ibrahim, Kareem, Abdhul Khaddar and Mohammad abused one Adhram (24) R/O Kadkkar House Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and gave him life threat owing to previous enmity.

• A case under Criminal restrained, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 2300 hrs accused Raghavendra, Chiddhu, Madhusudhana, Nithyanandha, Chidhanandha Achary criminally restrained one Rajesh Jogi (28) R/o Parladka village Puttur Taluk near his house and abused him in flighty language and assaulted him by hand and also gave him life threat owing to personal enmity.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Moodbidre Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1815 hrs at Gandhi Nagar Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk accused Laxminarayana, Shakunthala and Prakash. M..J assaulted one Yashawantha Kumar (32) R/o Gandhi Nagar Mangalore Taluk with wooden stick owing to personal enmity.

• A case under House trespass along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Barke Police Station .On 31/12/2006 at 2200 hrs accused Rathnakar .T.V @ Ratthu criminally trespassed into the house of one Pradeep Kottary (32) R/o Kottary compound Boloor Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and gave him life threat. The motive seems to be that Pradeep Kottary had lodged complaint against accused.

• A case under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 01/01/2007 at 0030 hrs accused Prem Crasta, Nithin Vegas, Prakash D’Souza, AnilD’Souza abused one Sadhananda (25) R/o Thanniru Bhavi Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and abused him taking his caste. They also assulted one Cliward Lobo who came to help Sadhanandha and gave life threat to both of them owing to previous enmity.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 01/01/2007 in between 1030 hrs and 1130 hrs one Gulabi (38) R/o Shanthi Nagar Golithottu village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison near her house owing to personal problem.
