- A case under house trespass, cruelty by husband and relatives, Criminal Intimidation and Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station on the complaint of one Rajia Banu R/o Bantwala mooda village Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that on 05/01/2007 at 1430 hrs accused Mohammed Shareef (Husband) and his relatives Abdul Reheman, Smt. Bifathumma criminally tresspassed in to her house and gave physical harrassment to bring more dowry and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 1540 hrs at Balila Village Sullia Taluk one Nidharshan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg.No.KA-21-H-3952 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another Bicycle driven by one Nithik (17) R/o Balila Village Sullia Taluk. As a result Nithik sustained grievous injuries. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

On 15/12/2006 at 1700 hrs near State Bank Mangalore one unknown driver of autorickshaw bearing Reg.No.KA-19-4097 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Vasanthi Poojary (46) R/o Devi Nagar Talapadi Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The driver of said autorickshaw escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1730 hrs at 7th the turning in Charmadi ghat one unknown driver of Mini Lorry bearing Reg.No.KA-21-7833 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Scorpio car bearing Reg.No.MH-02-AU-1269 driven by one Manohar Joshi (63) R/o Kovacharu Village Chittapur Taluk Gulbarga District. As a result Manohar Joshi and Anil Joshi passenger of said car susstained grivious injuries. The driver of said Mini Lorry escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 05/01/2007 at 1530 hrs on NH-13 near Swaraj Maidan Marpadi Village Mangalore Taluk one Sudhir driver of Qualis car bearing Reg.No.HR-26-T-3424 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against another Autorickshaw bearing Reg.No.KA-19-B-1059 driven by one Hussain. H (45) R/o Puttige Village Mangalore Taluk. As a result driver of said Autorickshaw susstained grivious injuries and two passengers of said Autorickshaw susstained simple injuries.
