- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 14/01/2007 at 1205 hrs on NH-17 at Kottara Jucntion Mangalore one unknown driver of Santro car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-2499 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3046. As a result motorcycle rider one Kishore Kumar R/o Kolthige village Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries. The motorcycle also got damaged.

Motive seems to be Drunken Brawl
- A case under Criminal trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 14/01/2007 at 1930 hrs at Arashinamakki Hthyadka village Belthangady Taluk accused Babu (32) criminally trespassed into the shop belonging to one Vishwas (20) R/o Arashinamakki Hthyadka village Belthangady Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted with a bottle and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be financial dispute between Vishwas and accused.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 14/01/2007 at 1900 hrs at Arashinamakki Hthyadka village Belthangady Taluk accused Vikram and Vishwas assaulted one Babu (32) R/o Hthyadka village Belthangady Taluk by hand and with stone and also gave life threat to him. This is the counter case for the above case and the motive seems to be financial dispute between Babu and accused.

On 15/01/2007 at 0630 hrs accused Ekanath and five unknown persons criminally restrained and abused one Sathish (32) R/o Kotekar Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.

On 15/01/2007 at 1700 hrs PSI (Crime) Sullia Police Station along with staff on credible information conducted a raid on a petty shop at Halegetu Sullia Town and seized small quantity of explosives (gelatin sticks, fuse wires..etc) which were kept illegally to use for fishing. One Mohiuddin (42) R/o Halegetu Sullia Town the owner of the said shop was arrested.
