• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 02/09/2007 at 0400 hrs accused one Prashanth committed theft of a battery from the lorry bearing Reg. No. CNG-9976 belonging to one Ramesh (54) R/o Kombettu Puttur Taluk that was parked near his house. The total value of stolen property is Rs. 3,500/.

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station where in one Ibrahim (42) R/o Kuttaru Munnur village declared dead while under treatment on 03/09/2007 at 0400 hrs. The said Ibrahim was seriously injured by a auto rickshaw in a road traffic accident on 20/08/207 at 0830 hrs on NH 17 at Pumpwell Kankanady Mangalore and admitted to the Omega Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station.

Non-Fatal: 02

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 02/09/2007 at 2000 hrs at Battagudde Bejai Mangalore one Rajesh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-60 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Yusebiuas Gonzalis (78) R/o Bejai Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 01/09/2007 at 1130 hrs at Kashibettu Layla village Belthangady Taluk one unknown jeep driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3583. As a result motorcycle rider one Mohammad Haneef (32) R/o Kashibettu Layla village Belthangady Taluk sustained grievous injuries. The jeep driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 02/09/2007 at 1400 hrs accused Walter D’Souza, Agnes D’Souza and Vinni Walmeda assaulted one Maxim D’Souza (33) R/o Sidhyala Chikkamudnur village Puttur Taluk with wooden stick and with iron rod near his house. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
  
• A case under Hurt has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 02/09/2007 at 1430 hrs accused Maxim D’Souza, Ivan Menezes and two other persons assaulted Walter D’Souza (40) R/o Sidhyala Chikkamudnur Puttur Taluk and his mother with wooden stick and with stone near his house. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 02/09/2007 at 0230 hrs one Shashikala (19) R/o Shanthimoole Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to personal problem.
