- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 20/09/2007 at 1100 hrs at Yeranthamajalu Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk one Suresh driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9948 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-4216. As a result pillion rider of motorcycle one Shivappa Gowda sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Radhakrishna Gowda (49) R/o Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 20/09/2007 at 0845 hrs at Balakka Aryappu village Puttur Taluk one unknown jeep driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Janardhana Nayak M (37) R/o Marike Aryappu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The jeep driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 20/09/2007 at 1400 hrs accused Mallesh and others 07 unknown persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Harsharaj (30) R/o Kayaragoli Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted one Alexander Lobo Police Constable of Konaje Police Station by hand and also gave life threat to them.

No. KA-21-9596 assaulted one Harish (33) R/o Nithikallu Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk with iron rod owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 20/09/2007 at 1330 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 30 yrs to 35 yrs was found in Pond at Kuvethadike Nelliyady village Uppinangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 20/09/2007 at 1115 hrs one Balakrishna Gowda (32) R/o Kemmannu Kuntharu village Puttur Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming some poison owing to financial problem. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Kadaba where he declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1300 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station where in the dead body one Ramesh (19) R/o Gunduri village Belthangady Taluk was found on 20/09/2007 at 0830 hrs at Hanneradu Kavalu Arambody village Belthangady Taluk. The said Ramesh was accidentally slipped into the Palguni river and reported missing since 17/09/2007 at 0930 hrs and in this connection a case of Man missing was already registered at Venoor PS. The death seems to be due drowning.
