- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the intervening night of 23-24/09/2007 some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-4838 belonging to one Ganesha Thantri (46) R/o Forest Quarters Madanthyaru Belthangady Taluk that was parked in front of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 15,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Sullia Police Station on the complaint of one Kunhirama K. (50) R/o Balembi Madikeri Taluk Kodagu district. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Prabhakara (28) R/o Kallamblladoddadka Thodikana village Sullia Taluk gave physical and mental harassment to one Mamatha W/o Prabhakara to bring more dowry due to which on 23/09/2007 she attempted to committed suicide by pouring kerosene herself and she got serious burn injuries and was admitted to Fr. Muller Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 27/09/2007.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 26/09/2007 in between 2130 hrs and 2200 hrs at Marigudi Pranthya village Mangalore Taluk one Deril Aranha (24) R/o Kallabettu village Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-570 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-435. Further Amar D’Silva (23) R/o Marooru village Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-435 lost control over his vehicle and dashed aganist another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9220 due which motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-435 fell into a road side ditch. As a result Amar D’Silva (23) R/o Marooru village Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-435 sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital and Ashok rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9220 and Anil Prakash Lobo (34) pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 26/09/2007 at 1715 hrs at Jokatte Mangalore one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9456 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-8311. As a result one Umashakar (24) R/o Jokatte Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 27/09/2007 at 1400 hrs on SH 88 at Arambur Aletti village Sullia Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KR-55-D-6598 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-12-H-6390. As a result motorcycle rider one Vinayaka (25) R/o Peraje village Madikeri Kodagu district sustained simple injuries.

On 27/09/2007 at 2200 hrs at Alladka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk accused Sanjeeva (28) R/o Alladka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk assaulted one Mohana (28) R/o Alladka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk with sickle. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Mohana and accused person.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 26/09/2007 at 1245 hrs one Shaji (28) developed chest pain while working at Techno craft Body works at Bhramarakutlu Bantwla Taluk and died on the way to hospital.
