On 10/09/2007 at 1815 hrs on receiving specific information a team comprising of ASP Puttur and staff of Belthangady Police Station have raided the house at Belthangady Town. At the time of raid Police found 15 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. The Police seized 2 auto rickshaws, 6 motorcycles, cash Rs. 5,060/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Mahesh Kumar (42), Devappa Shetty (64), Abdul Rahiman (53), Yusuf (45), Ravi Prakash (34), Vikram (27), Balakrishna (37), Joseph (44), Razak (40), Subrmanya Bhat (57), Neelayya (53), Mohammed (35), Gangadhara (45), Jayaraj Kote (53) and Shivananda (47) who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Belthangady PS U/s 79, 80 of the Karnataka Police Act.
