Kotian (57) R/o Nava Nagara Land Links Township Konchady Derebail Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft a camera, a mobile phone, a video camera and gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 4,00,000/.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 29/02/2008 in between 0930 hrs and 1130 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-5014 belonging to one Dr. Narasimha Hegde R/o Velencia Mangalore that was parked in front of Balmatta Post office at Mangalore. The Maruti car is worth Rs. 40,000/.

On 29/02/2008 at 1100 hrs one Anitha (25) D/o Narayana Rai R/o Kalleri Enmur village Sullia Taluk was on her way from shop to home by walk. At that time accused one Lathif criminally restrained her and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/02/2008 at 1215 hrs at Keremoole Kuvettu village Belthangady Taluk one Mohammad Sameer driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-AB-2277 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-32-M-5219 driven by one Arun Murugan. As a result driver of Maruti Omni car Arun Murgan (22) R/o Shimoga District, Subhadra and Rekha who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 27/02/2008 at 2130 hrs at Ajjikatte Kuria village Puttur Taluk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-9316 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which lorry capsized. As a result Mohammad (33) R/o Kabaka village who was traveling in the said lorry sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 29/02/2008 at 0100 hrs on credible information PSI Uppinangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Karthik hotel at Uppinangady Town and seized 7 liquor bottles (each 750 ML) of worth Rs.500/ and cash Rs. 4,600/ by arresting one Ganesh Bhat, Vikram, Richard and Purushothama who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
