- A case under Abetment of suicide has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station on the complaint of one Paul Rodrigues (35) R/o Jeppu Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Ashok Samuels R/o Goodshed Mangalore gave physical and mental harassment to one Dolly Deepika Samuels W/o Ashok Samuels R/o Goodshed Mangalore due to which she was committed suicide in between 13/03/2008 at 1500 hrs and 14/03/2008 at 1800 hrs by jumping into the well near her house.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 14/03/2008 at 1700 hrs accused Aithappa Naik assaulted one Kasthuri (40) R/o Perlampady Kolthige village Puttur Taluk with iron chain near her house The motive seems to be financial dispute between them.

On 14/03/2008 at 1130 hrs at Carstreet Mangalore one unknown auto rickshaw driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7794. As a result motorcycle rider one Praveen Rodrigus (31) R/o Kulashekara Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 14/03/2008 at 0715 hrs at Derebail Konchady Mangalore one driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-26-M-2186 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a TVS Scooty bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-4046. As a result one Shailesh Pandith R/o Landlinks Derebail Mangalore rider of said TVS Scooty sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-A-795 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shruthi (09) D/o Lakshmisha R/o Malavoor village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 13/03/2008 at 2130 hrs at Sentiyaru Aryapu village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-4262 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-6494. As a result one Ibrahim rider of motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 14/03/2008 at 1645 hrs at Anegundy Kanakamajalu village Sullia Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-2977 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5363 driven by one Ravishankar (46) R/o Kerpala Sullia Town. As a result Maruti car got damaged. No casualities reported.

On 13/03/2008 at 0830 hrs one Shobha (33) R/o Gurupura Muloor village Mangalore Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison at her house owing to health problem. Further she was admitted to Fr. Muller’s hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on same day at 0930 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 14/03/2008 at 0730 hrs one Walter D'Souza (61) R/o Gorigudde Mangalore committed suicide by hanging at Gorigudda Kankanady village Mangalore Taluk owing to personal problem.
