Fatal: 03

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinnagady Police Station. On 08/03/2008 at 2130 hrs at Kadumbu Perne village Bantwal Taluk one unknown Maruti 800 car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider one Sheenappa Gowda sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. The Maruti car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 1530 hrs at Gonkrau Puduvettu cross Dhamastal village Belthangady Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-25-A-7580 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jepp bearing Reg. NO. KA-21-M-3094 driven by Yugaraj. As a result Yugaraj jeep driver, Fhatima, Shameer, Mohameed Haneef (230 R/o Belinele village Puttur Taluk, Sahina Zubaida, Kulsumbi and Nasiya who were traveling in the said sustained grievous injuries where in Yugaraj, Fathima and Shameer died on the spot.
  

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 10/03/2008 at 1330 hrs at State bank city bus stand Mangalore one Rajesh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-4209 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Mathew Joseph Lobo (170 R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore, Savitha (22) and two other and caused them serious injuries where in one Savitha died on the spot.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 2100 hrs at Ballalbagh Circle Mangalore one Vasantha driver of Scorpio car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-3502 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7012. As a result Sharath Suvarna driver of auto rickshaw and Ganesh Prasad (25) R/o Kuduroli Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 1345 at Anegundi Bejai Mangalore one unknown auto tempo driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramachandra @ Rama (65) R/o Anegundi Mangalore a pedestrian and cuased him simple injuries. The rickshaw tempo driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 1700 hrs at Kudrebettu Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. RJ-14-EG-4299 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1622. As a result motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 08/03/2008 at 2145 hrs near Pump house at Derebailu Mangalore accused Mahesh and Ramesh abused one Mayyaddi (35) R/o Urwastores Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 2100 hrs at Mogarnadu Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk accused Naveen Poojary, Rajesh Poojary, Damodhara Safaliya and Yashodhara Safaliya abused one Lohith R/o Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and also assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Counterfeit currency has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 09/03/2008 at 1915 hrs on credible information PSI Subramanya PS along with his staff arrested one Rathnakara R/o Noochila Subramanya village Sullia Taluk and seized 09 notes of face value Rs.500/ each from his possession. Police apprehended him while he was trying to circulate Fake currency at Hotel Harish at Subramanya village Sullia Taluk.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 04/03/2008 at 0600 hrs one Kushala (24) R/o Hosamogaru Thekkaru village Belthangady Taluk sustained serious burn injuries while she was trying to light a kerosene lamp in her house. Further she was admitted to the Father Mullers hospital Mangalore and there while under treatment she succumbed to her injuries on 08/03/2008 at 2130 hrs.
