- A case under Murder has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/03/2008 at 2200 hrs one Balakrishna R/o Punchame Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk picked up quarrel with his father Thenku Shetty (75) and assaulted him by hand in their house at Punchame Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk due which Thenku Shetty fell down to ground and got serious and died on the spot.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 07/03/2008 at 1340 hrs at Atthavara Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-4168 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7699 driven by one Mohammed Iqbal (21) R/o Atthavara Mangalore. As a result motorcycle bearing Reg. No.KA-19-V-7699 got damaged. No casualities reported. The motorcycle rider bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-4168 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 08/03/2008 at 0700 hrs on NH 48 at Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk one Lakshman driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9225 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3129. As a result both drivers of both buses and passengers who were traveling in the both buses sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 05/03/2008 at 1600 hrs near Vanadurga Devi Temple at Subramanya village Sullia Taluk one Vasantha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-8654 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sathwik a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result Vasantha rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/03/2008 at 0910 hrs at Badyaru Padangady village Belthangady Taluk one Magundappa driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-29-F-758 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4366. As a result Shanthiraja motorcycle rider and his daughter Susha pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 07/03/2008 at 1220 hrs at Hampanakatte Mangalore accused driver and conductor of the bus Route No. 13B abused one Abbas R/o Panjimogaru Kavoor Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 07/03/2008 at 1210 hrs at Hampanakatte Mangalore accused one Abbas R/o Panjimogaru Kavoor abused one Gangadhara Shetty R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State driver of bus Route No. 13B in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 07/03/2008 at 1530 hrs near A.B. Shetty circle at Mangalore accused one Ashoka Thingalaya assaulted his brother one Vinod Thingalaya (60) R/o Hoigebazar Mangalore with sickle. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 06/03/2008 at 2000 hrs near Guthigaru Bus stand at Guthigaru village Sullia Taluk accused one Koragappa @ Shivarama Gowda assaulted one Dayananda (21) R/o Shakthinagara Kalmakaru village Sullia Taluk with knife owing to trivial issue.

- A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 07/03/2008 at 1230 hrs on credible information PSI (Crime) Mangalore Rural PS along with staff arrested one Balakrishana Shettigara (38) R/o Gurupura Kaikamba Mangalore and seized 650 gms of Ganja (worth Rs. 5,000) from his bag also Cash Rs.3, 500/, Passport and Laptop (wroth Rs. 15,000) from his possession. Police apprehended him while he was selling Ganja near Vamanjoor bus stand at Thiruvail village Mangalore Taluk.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 04/03/2008 at 1100 hrs and 07/03/2008 at 1200 hrs one Suresha (30) committed suicide by hanging in his room at Hindustan Residence Lodge at Mangalore owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/03/2008 at 1500 hrs one Shiva (14) accidentally slipped into the Nethravathi river at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
