- A case of Murder has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 19/03/2008 in between 0400 hrs and 0630 hrs some unknown culprits murdered one Saiman D’Souza (64) R/o Hosagudde Kannur village Mangalore Taluk by assaulting him with wooden stick.

In between 17/03/2008 at 2100 hrs and 18/03/2008 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Mobile shop at Baliga Arcade old Bus Stand Mangalore belonging to one Surendra Prabhu M. R/o Pandeshwara Mangalore by breaking front door lock and committed theft of 8 mobiles and 3 wrist watch all in worth Rs. 18,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 17/03/2008 at 2200 hrs and 18/03/2008 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Mahalakshimi Toyes and Electronics at Central Market Mangalore belonging to one Parabath Singh R/o Bibi Alabi road Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of Emergency lights, Tape recorders and other electrical items all in worth Rs. 9,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On the night of 17-18/03/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Chitra Jewelers at Ajibettu cross Bantwal Town belonging to one Ravindra (42) R/o Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of gold ornaments (63 gms) worth Rs. 88,100/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 18/03/2008 at 1645 hrs near Nellikaru school at Nellikaru village Mangalore Taluk one Balakrishna Bhat rider of Bajaj M80 bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6034 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ashif (08) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries and he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hopital. Further M80 rider lost control over his vehicle due vehicle capsized. As a result Balakrishna Bhat rider of said M80 also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 19/03/2008 at 0845 hrs on SH 88 at Anegundi Kanakamajalu village Sullia Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6841 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-01-AJ-7735. As a result Prashanth B. pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further rider of motorcycle Shrikesh @ Naveen (25) R/o Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk also sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 15/03/2008 at 0800 hrs at Dharegudde Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk one Lakshmana Kotiyan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-8295 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due motorcycle capsized. As a result Lakshmana Kotiyan rider of motorcycle and Ramesh @ Kencha pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 17/03/2008 at 1615 hrs on NH 48 at Adyar Kannur village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-1911 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. CTA-1542. As a result one Anil Kumar rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/03/2008 at 0830 hrs at Halekote Belthangady Town one Chandrahas driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AA-523 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-7385. As a result Kiran rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 18/03/2008 at 2130 hrs accused some 8 unknown persons forming into an unlawful assembly entered into the hotel belonging to Vaheed Khan (27) R/o Attavara Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and damaged the hotel and also gave lfe threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 17/03/2008 at 2030 hrs at Bellare Town Sullia Taluk accused one Sunil Rai assaulted one Bharath (23) R/o Nelyamajalu Bellare village Sullia Taluk with iron rod owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 10/03/2008 at 1700 hrs one Poornima (22) R/o Pandithhouse Permunnur village Mangalore Taluk accidentally consumed pesticide in her house and got serious injuries. Further she was admitted to Unity hospital Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on 18/03/2008 at 0515 hrs.
