  • A case of Ordinary theft has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 29/02-01/03/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into Sacred Heart Hairy Primary School at Kallige village Bantwal Taluk and committed theft of plastic chairs belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane. The stolen property is worth Rs. 1, 000/.

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station where in one Shashidhara (24) R/o Badaga Yedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 01/03/2008 at 1230 hrs. The said Shashidhara sustained seriouse injuries by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 14/02/2008 at 1700 hrs at Palike Mani village Bantwal Taluk and admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Vittal Police Station.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 29/02/2008 at 1845 hrs near Mallikatte at Mangalore one Umesh Shetty driver car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-02-ES-3352. As a result motorcycle rider one Muralikrishna Upadhyya (28) R/o Udupi District sustained simple injuries.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 29/02/2008 at 0745 hrs and 01/03/2008 at 0945 hrs one David Santhosh D’ Souza (20) committed suicide by jumping into the Palguni river at Bangra Kuloor Mangalore and died due to drowning.
