• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 02/03/2008 in between 2100 hrs and 2300 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-4221 belonging to one Mohandas K. (38) R/o Kumbra Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk which was parked in front of Mahalingeshwara Temple at Puttur Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 14,000/.

Crime against Women: 01

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 26/03/2008 at 1400 accused Thaniya abused his wife Girija (30) R/o Kumladi Noojibalthila village Puttur Taluk in filthy language in her house and assaulted her with sickle and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 29/03/2008 at 1330 hrs one Shakti Murugan driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-01-C-6099 moved his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ganeshan a pedestrian while he was walking on Berth 14 at NMPT Harbour Mangalore due which Ganeshan got serious injuries and died on the spot. Further lorry driver lost control over his vehicle dashed against another lorry bearing Reg. No.KA-25-B-9715.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 29/03/2008 at 2130 hrs at Gundukallu Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk one Bhoja driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8844 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and due which one Sushila Poojarthi who was traveling in the auto rickshaw was thrown out of the said auto rickshaw and sustained serious injuries and she was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. One Ashma (19) R/o Gurupunar Padnoor village Puttur Taluk was left her house on 28/03/2008 at 0730 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
