On 16/03/2008 at 0030 hrs a police team consisting of Shivaprakash PSI Ullal PS along with staff on specific information conducted raid on K.P. Recreation culb at Thokkuttu Ullal village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 28 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. Police seized cash Rs. 40,170/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Dinesha, Basavaraj Maruti, Ganesh, Sunil D’Souza, Vinod, Melwin Gonsalvies, Mohammed, Abbas, Francies Feravo, Lancy D’Souza, Victor D’Souza, Prasanna Kumar, Ramesh, Sudhir, Naveen D’Souza, Sadashiva Achari, Mosa Ibrahim, Hariyappa Gowda, Rudalf, John D’Souza, Godwin D’Souza, Mahadeva, Ganesh, Suresh Mununoor, Hiresh Sitthirik, Philip Gilbert D’Souza, Alwin Gonsalvies and Raju who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Ullal PS U/s 79, 80 of the Karnataka Police Act.
