- A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. In between 12/03/2008 at 2045 hrs and 13/03/2008 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Shathinatha Basadi at Puttur Town by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold and silver ornaments all in worth Rs. 1,00,000/.

- A case under Outraging the modesty of woman along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 10/03/2008 at 1030 hrs one Hemavathi (25) R/o Kodange Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk was on her way to home by walk. At that time accused one Sulaiman tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 13/03/2008 at 2000 hrs on Pakshikere-Haleyangadi road at Kermal village Mangalore Taluk one Jaganmohan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-4783 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-5019. As a result Raghavendra rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-5019 and Jaganmohan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-4783 sustained serious injuries. Further Raghvendra was admitted to Concita hospital at Kinnigoli where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 12/03/2008 at 2200 hrs at Kallega Kabaka village Puttur Taluk one driver of Eicher lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-01-B-5891 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19U-7579. As a result motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

On 12/03/2008 at 1245 hrs near MRPL guest house at Kuttethuru village Mangalore Taluk one Shridhara driver of Tata Sumo Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-7401 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rita Shubha D’Souza (35) R/o MRPL Quarters Kuttethuru village Mangalore Taluk a pedstrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 13/03/2008 at 1700 hrs on NH 48 at Krishnakodi Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk one Sundara driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2188 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5186. Further the driver of bus lost his control over his vehicle and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-37-H-2407. As a result Tipper lorry driver, motorcycle rider, and some passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 13/03/2008 at 2130 hrs at Centiyaru Aryapu village Puttur Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-4262 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6494. As a result one Ibrahim rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Intentional insult with provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 11/03/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Jameela, Avvammma and Jubaida abused one Vasanthi (16) R/o Rathnagiri Panechalu Kuvettu village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language near her house and assaulted her by hand and with wooden stick. They also assaulted Amala by hand who came to help Vasanthi. The motive seems to be financial issue between Vasanthi and accused persons.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 12/03/2008 at 2200 hrs and 13/03/2008 at 0245 hrs one Sudha W/o Ravindra committed suicide by hanging in her rented house at Yeyyadi Mangalore owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 13/03/2008 in between 0230 hrs and 0630 hrs one Dharmaraja committed suicide by hanging near Someshwara temple at Someashwara village Mangalore taluk owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 13/03/2008 at 0800 hrs one Jagadish Shetty (57) R/o Dharmanagara Ullal Mangalore committed suicide by jumping into the Netravathi river at Alive baghilu Kotepura Ullala Mangalore owing to financial problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 13/03/2007 at 1700 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 30 to 35 yrs was found near Nethravathi Snanghatta Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide by hanging.
