- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 01/06/2008 at 1030 hrs at Shivabhag Kadri Mangalore one Pavan Kumar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-J-4826 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abhishek J Shettigar R/o Kandavara Padavu Kinnikambala Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 01/06/2008 at 1100 hrs on NH 48 at Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-7640 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravi @ Raviraja Shetty a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 31/05/2008 at 1015 hrs at Kolpedabail Malady village Belthangady Taluk one Santhosh driver of tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-4334 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-3464. As a result Prashantha Naik (23) R/o Ajilamogeru Maninalkuru village Bantwal Taluk motorcycle rider and Yadava pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 31/05/2008 at 2300 hrs at Panambur Railway Yard Mangalore accused one Dattha driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5828 abused one Bharathan S. (42) R/o Madurai District Tamilnadu State conductor of another lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3483 in filthy language and assaulted him with iron rod and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 31/05/2008 at 2000 hrs accused one Jogi criminally restrained one Rukmayya (20) R/o Nellikumeri Sampaje village Sullia Taluk near his house and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 01/06/2008 at 0730 hrs one Padma R. (25) R/o J.C. Nagara Bangalore committed suicide by jumping into the sea at Thaneerbhavi Panambur Mangalore owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 01/06/2008 at 0900 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 30 yrs to 35 yrs was found near Nethravathi Snanghatta at Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to drowning.
