In between 26/06/2008 at 2030 hrs and 27/06/2008 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6323 belonging to one Sadananda Puthran (54) R/o Lohith Nagara Mangalore that was parked near Jeevan Joythi Poultry farm at Basavanagudi Kukkala village Belthangady Taluk. The Tipper lorry is worth Rs. 8,00,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 27/06/2008 at 0820 hrs near Joerosa School at Valencia Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-123 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-3032. As a result one Janet Rodrigo’s rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 26/06/2008 at 1800 hrs at Rayalkatte Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk one Karisiddappa driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2459 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-1663. As a result one Radhakrishna (46) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 27/06/2008 at 1630 hrs at Neerakatte Bajathuru village Puttur Taluk one Venkatachalayya driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-A-5818 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-NT-3839 driven by one Ganesh Tantri R/o Shibaje village Puttur Taluk. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.

On 27/06/2008 at 1715 hrs near P.V.S. bus stand at Mangalore accused Anil, Arun, Dolphi and other 2 persons assaulted one Sandeep R. (22) R/o Krishnapura Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk with cold drink bottle and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 26/06/2008 at 2230 hrs in Geetha Bar & Restarunt at Kabaka Kula village Puttur Taluk accused Dinesh and Ramadas abused one Chandrahasa R/o Netlamudnur village Puttur Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with cold drink bottle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 17/05/2008 at 1830 hrs one Vishwanatha Shettigara (42) R/o Keele Mucchur village Mangalore Taluk accidentally got serious burn injuries while lighting a kerosene lamp in his house and he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 27/06/2008 at 1400 hrs.
