- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/06/2008 in between 1945 hrs and 2130 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-J-6241 belonging to one Nassir K. H. (32) R/o J.M. Road Kodikal Mangalore that was parked in front of Boot corner shop at Kankanady Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 9, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 08/06/2008 at 1430 hrs at Dasakodi Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one unknown driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2337 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-H-2337. As result Sandesh Padivala motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injures and admitted to Mangala hospital at Mangalore where in Sandesh Padival succumbed to his injuries while under treatment. The KSRTC bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 08/06/2008 at 1730 hrs at Alladandady Badagarandoor village Belthangady Taluk one Mahadeva Nayak driver of Maxi cab bearing Reg. No. KA-30-2567 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-8752. As result Sanjeeva (28) motorcycle rider sustained serious injureis and died on the spot. Further Shridara (22) and Krishanappa (25) pillion riders of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries and they succumbed to their injuries while on the way to hospital.

On 07/06/2008 at 0400 hrs at Bollecharu Tenka Mijaru village Mangalore Taluk one Nagaraja driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-A-4315 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Bridge. Further lorry driver lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result Nagaraja driver of lorry and Thippeswamy (21) R/o Molakalmoor Taluk Chitradurga district who was traveling in the said lorry sustained grievous injuries.

On 08/06/2008 at 1100 hrs near Kallutti Temple at Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk one Shailendra driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6971 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Dinesh (29) R/o Nellithadi Bodala Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 07/06/2008 at 1430 hrs at Udane Town Shradi village Puttur Taluk one driver of Quails car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-AB-5589 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4023. As a result Honnappa Gowda (67) R/o Shiradi village Puttur Taluk and another lady who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-01-9031 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-10-Z-403. As a result Harisha M. Rao (41) R/o Balmatta Mangalore driver of car sustained grievous injuries. Further Jesentha, Nagesh Shetty and Balakrishana who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

On 08/06/2008 at 0735 hrs one Raghu (70) attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison at Uddabettu Adduru village Mangalore Taluk owing personal problem. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment.
