On 11/06/2008 at 1745 hrs near Panchayath Office at Bantwal Town one Chandrashekara Ithal driver of Maruti Omini car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-3263 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-485 driven by one Radhakarishna (27) R/o Amtur village Bantwal Taluk. As a result one Jayarama (30) pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 11/06/2008 at 2110 hrs on NH 48 at Satthikallu Kedila village Bantwal Taluk one Naganna Gowda driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AA-7311 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Electric pole due which electric pole got damaged. The damaged caused is about Rs. 26,500/. No casualties reported.
