- A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On the night of 06-07/10/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Krishna store at Kallagadde Jalsuru village Sullia Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 2,500/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station on the complaint of one Vinodha Poojary (39) R/o Korantottu Dharegudde village Mangalore Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Dayananda Poojary (33) R/o Manjabettu Mantradi village Mangalore Taluk gave physical and mental harassment to one Charithra (28) W/o Dayananda to bring more dowry due to which on 06/10/2008 at 2200 hrs she committed suicide by jumping into the well along with her children’s Dhanassu (05) and Divya (04) near her house.

- A case under Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/10/2008 at 1400 hrs at Bendoorwell Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6980 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prakash (19) R/o Kinnipadavu Bajpe Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The rider of motorcycle escaped from the place without his vehicle.
- A case under Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Poilice Station. On 07/10/2008 1100 hrs near Krishnnagara at Chikkamudnuru village Puttur Taluk one Shyamprasad driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-6122 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5314. As a result driver of auto rickshaw Sathish Kumar K (27) R/o Kepula Bannuru village Puttur Taluk, Lancy Lobo and Sundari who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case under Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/10/2008 at 0830 hrs on NH 48 one Rajendra driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4386 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sapurunisa (08) R/o Morankala Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 07/10/2008 at 1545 hrs accused Devappa Naik R/o Manimardu Aletti village Sullia Taluk fired at his son Deranna Naik (36) R/o Manimardu Aletti village Sullia Taluk with a Country made gun and tried to kill him owing to family dispute.

On 06/10/2008 at 1900 hrs accused Khayyum and others forming into an unlawful assembly at All season Restaurant at Kurunjibagh Sullia Town and abused one Raghunatha Shetty (35) R/o Kurunjibagh Sullia Town him in filthy language. They also damaged the furniture of the Restaurant. The damage caused is about 15,000/. The motive seems to be personal enmity between them.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 07/10/2008 at 2115 hrs accused Balakrishna abused one Balaraj K.S (33) R/o Bagamandala village Madikeri District in filthy language near Navoor village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/10/2008 at 1530 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff apprehended three accused persons Anwar, Abbas and Khalil near bus stand at pumpwell Mangalore and seized 90 bottles of illegal liquor (each 750 ml) worth 18,000/ from their possession who were being transporting these liquor bottles illegally there.
