In between 10/07/2008 and 25/10/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Shyamala (61) R/o Flat. No. 105 Ushakiran Apartments Falnir Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold, silver ornaments and watch all in worth Rs. 40,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 17/10/2008 and 26/10/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Ansil D Souza (48) R/o Flat. No. 002 Ushakiran Apartments Falnir Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and lapto all in worth Rs. 67,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On the intervening night of 17-18/10/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Jayesh P Anchan (44) R/o Adka Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk by removing the roof tiles and committed theft of a TV and other copper vessels all in worth Rs. 15,000/.

On 26/10/2008 at 1130 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Monappa Gowda (50) R/o Aramburu Aletti village Sullia Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs.1,000/. all in worth Rs. 71,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station on the complaint of one Veena (33) D/o Shivarama Acharya R/o Mudipu Kairangala village Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Ganesh Acharya (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to Veena to bring more dowry and assaulted her with knife and also gave life threat to her.
- A case under Cheating has been registered in Vittal Police Station where in it is alleged that one Abdul Hameed had sexual intimacy with a Twenty four year girl of Karayi Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk by promising to marry her. There upon he refused to marry her and cheated her.
- A case under Wrongful confinement, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Outrage modesty of woman along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 26/10/2008 at 2245 hrs in the room at Paris hotel Ullal Mangalore accused Mohammad Kabir and Abdul Rahiman Wrongfully confines one Shamiyath (25) W/o Abdul Rahiman R/o Kannur Kerala State and abused her and her mother in filthy language and outraged her modesty by pulling her hand and assaulted her with knife and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station where in one Henry D Souza R/o Agarimane Kallamundkuru village Mangalore Taluk Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 25/10/2008 at 1530 hrs. The said Henry D Souza was seriously injuries by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident at 23/09/2008 at 1930 hrs at Pidamale cross Kallamundkuru village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case of road traffic accident was already registered in Moodabidre Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 26/10/2008 at 1000 hrs at Putrabail Layila village Belthangady Taluk one Ananda Aithal rider of M80 bearing Reg. No. KA-20-L-8642 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result one Ananda Aithal rider of motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further Ananda Aithal to Mangalore Nursing Home at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1410 hrs.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 26/10/2008 at 1330 hrs one Nawaz (20) R/o Madikri Kodagu District accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Nandavara Panemangaluru village Bantwal Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.

- A case of Woman missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Lalitha (48) R/o Motukana Amarapadnuru village Sullia Taluk left her house on 21/10/2008 at 1045 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
