- A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On the night of 19-20/10/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Smoke house at Gundigadde Bellare village Sullia Taluk belonging to one Rajesh (35) R/o Masthikatte Bellare village Sullia Taluk by breaking door lock and committed theft of Rabber Sheets (2 to 2.5 quintal) all in worth Rs. 18, 000/.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 18/10/2008 at 2200 hrs and 19/10/2008 at 0500 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Mahindra Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-12-9979 belonging to one Narayana V. Soorithaya (65) R/o Parape Patrame village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in the shed of his house. The jeep is worth Rs. 45,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 20/10/2008 at 1945 hrs on NH 13 at Parai Thiruvailu village Mangalore Taluk one Karthik Shetty rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-2002 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-5957 from behind. As result Karthik Shetty rider of motorcycle and Kowshik Shetty pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and admitted to City hospital at Mangalore. Further one Kowshik Shetty was succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day at 1830 hrs.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 20/10/2008 at 1615 hrs on Periyashanthi-Kokkada road at Daddalpalke Kaukradi village Puttur Taluk one Narnappa driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4238 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-533. As result Shashi Kumar (28) rider of motorcycle and Bindu (25) pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further one Shashi Kumar was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

No. KA-19-R-1714 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravi Poojary (51) R/o Golithottu Konalu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 16/10/2008 at 1830 hrs near Busstand at Over bridge Thokkuttu Ullal Mangalore one Zafar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-4338 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner one Badruddin U.M. (21) R/o Ullal village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 18/10/2008 at 2200 hrs on NH 17 at Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk one Novel Aranha driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8615 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Vekatesh (40) R/o Udayanagara Makka Mangalore and Gangadhara who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 2400 hrs at Kadikadka Kanakamajalu village Sullia Taluk one Babu driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-1379 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which lorry capsized. As result lorry got damaged. No causality reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 1730 hrs near Kodikal cross at Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-8294 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Jayashanthi (50) R/o Ballalbhag Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.

On 18/10/2008 at 1130 hrs in front of Kelinja Temple at Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk one Ramesh driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6563 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Laxmi (26) R/o Padnoor village Bantwal Taluk, Parvathi and Kirthana who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 0900 hrs Kolake Sajipa Mooda village Bantwal Taluk one Riyaz driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-052 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Sacchindra (25) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.

On 18/10/2008 at 1145 hrs at Mura Kabaka village Puttur Taluk one Bhaskara driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-2140 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6218. As a result auto rickshaw driver Narayana, Abdul Khadar (18) R/o Kodippady village Puttur Taluk, Isamma, Abdul Safan and Nafiya who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

On 19/10/2008 at 1130 hrs at Sahanthinagar Manchi village Batwal Taluk one Unknown driver of Lancer car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-3798 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3798. As a result motorcycle rider one Harish @ Bhavanishankar sustained grievous injuries.

On 19/10/2008 at 1000 hrs accused Ashraf, Siraj, Ibrahim, Abdul Razak, Hammad Beary and other persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the land belonging to Pudu Gramapanchayath at Kumpanmajalu Pudu village Bantwal Taluk and damaged the drainage construction owing to civil dispute. The damage is caused about Rs. 45,000/.

On 20/10/2008 at 0930 hrs accused MSEZ official, Raghvendra Holla, Santhosh, Yogish, Surendra Sahetty, Yadava Kotian and Girish forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the land belonging to Korgu Gowda (55) R/o Crosspadavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk near his house and damaged paddy cultivation and gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

Administration MSEZ Mangalore at Padavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language owing to civil dispute.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 19/10/2008 at 1830 hrs one Sathish Poojary (28) R/o Hallar Pajilallu village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. In between 19/10/2008 at 1200 hrs and 20/10/2008 at 0730 hrs one Veeramma (45) R/o Kalayidadda Peradi village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 19/10/2008 in between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs one Sampath (14) R/o Pacchamogaru Mattu village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging owing to personal problem.

In between 18/10/2008 at 1415 hrs and 20/10/2008 at 1330 hrs one Devadasa R/o Kudanegudde Bantwal Town was committed suicide by jumping into a pond near his house owing to personal problem and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 1700 hrs one Thanuja (05) D/o Bhavani R/o Virajpete Kodagu District accidentally consumed poison in her house. Further she was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where she declared dead while under treatment on 20/10/2008.
