A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 1600 hrs on credible information the PSI Bantwal Rural along with his staff conducted a raid on open place at Munnalayipadavu Sapady village Bantwal Taluk and seized 26 cocks and cash Rs. 700/ by arresting Balakrishna, Damodhara, Venkappa Sheety, Eshwara, Rangappa Gowda @ Gummanna Gowda and Sundara Shetty who were indulged in betting on cock fighting.In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Bantwal Rural PS U/s 87, 93 of the Karnataka Police Act.
