In between 07/10/2008 at 1700 hrs and 13/10/2008 at 1000 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into D.K.Z.P.H.P. school at Theggu Koyyur village Puttur Taluk and committed theft of 2 gas cylinders, regulators and Pomovlia oil belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane. The stolen property is worth Rs. 3,500/.

On 14/10/1530 hrs accused one Rathnakara R/o Moodumardu village Mangalore Taluk criminally restrained one Sujatha (37) R/o Golithadi Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk near her house and outraged the modesty of her by pulling her hand and also assaulted her by hand.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 14/102008 at 1630 hrs near Kinnigoli bus stand at Thalipady village Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-277 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Umesh Poojary and Susheela and caused them serious injuries. Further Umesh Poojary died on the spot.

As a result auto rickshaw driver and Ravindra (51) R/o Gandhinagar Mangalore driver of Quails car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 14/10/2008 at 1730 hrs at Bannadka Padumanadu village Mangalore Taluk one Santhosh Kumar driver of Mini bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-3147 drove his vehicle rash and negligent and dashed against an electric pole due which the vehicle capsized. As a result Jay B @ Jayakara (35) R/o Aliyuru Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk, Subhash, Poornima and Jayanthi who were traveling in the said tempo sustained serious injuries.

On 13/10/2008 at 2145 hrs in front of Gangothri at Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk one Bairesh K. driver of Tavera car bearing Reg. No. KA-17-A-4647 drove his vehicle rash and negligent and dashed against one Riyaz Bava a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ulall Police Station .On 14/10/2008 at 1600 hrs Subramanya (35) R/o Bangalore accidentally slipped and washed away in the sea while he was playing at seashore Shomeshwara Mangalore Taluk died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 13/10/2008 in between 1200 hrs and 1700 hrs one unknown male was found dead at Nodody City at Kallamundkur villge Mangalore. The death seems to be due to some illness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 12/10/2008 at 1400 hrs and 14/10/2008 at 0700 hrs one Lancy Kunthinch (45) R/o Ajanadka Thenkabellur village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the pond near his house owing to health problem.
