- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 16/10/2008 in between 1630 hrs and 1645 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-890 belonging to one Abdul Azeez R/o Sajipa Munoor village Bantwal Taluk that was parked on Nellikayee road at Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 37,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 23/10/2008 at 1745 hrs near Bendoor circle at Mangalore one Bhaskara driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-2750 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-7347. As result one Guruprasad C. (31) R/o Merihill Mangalore rider of motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 21/10/2008 at 1800 hrs on Honnakatte road at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4500 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramesh a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The driver of tempo escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 22/10/2008 at 1030 hrs near Honnakatte at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Shambhu driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4487 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Mahindra pick up vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-15-M-785. As result one Mohammed Musthafa (28) R/o Krishnapura Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk driver of Mahindra pick up vehicle sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 21/10/2008 at 1530 hrs one Vindzar (30) got seriously injuried due to heavy lightning while fishing in a boat at Bengre Panambur Mangalore and died on the spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 23/10/2008 at 1100 hrs one Hanumanthappa (60) accidentally fell down near Karinji cross at Vagga village Bantwal Taluk due to heavy drunkenness. Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Punjalakatte where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1200 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 23/10/2008 at 1615 hrs one Mutthappa Poojary (80) R/o Kunchimaru Ichilampady village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison near his house owing to health problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 23/10/2008 at 1600 hrs one Sankrappa Thoppada accidentally slipped into pound while taking bath at Muratthangady Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk and not has been traced so far.
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. One Padmanabha (23) R/o Bollari Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk who went to work at Mangalore on 21/10/2008 at 0900 hrs and did not return to his house thereafter. He has been found missing since then.
