- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 22/10/2008 in between 1600 hrs and 1700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of an Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5862 belonging to one Pandarinatha (38) R/o Kannur Mangalore that was parked at parking place of Mangalore City Corporation at Lalbhag Mangalore. The auto rickshaw is worth Rs. 50,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 25/10/2008 at 1815 hrs near Holy Family school at Bajpe Mangalore one driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1645 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Stella Sequeira and Atthish Sequeira pedestrians and caused them serious injuries. Further they were admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where in one Stella Sequeira succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on the same day. The Maruti Omni car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 25/10/2008 at 1745 hrs on Kokkada-Dharmasthala road at Ontayana Nidle village Belthangady Taluk one driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2054 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-2522. As a result one Ratheesh rider of motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

On 24/10/2008 at 1715 hrs at Karikkala cross at Pambetthady village Sullia Taluk one driver of Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-4428 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-5986. As result one Anusha Rai (23) R/o Balnadu village Puttur Taluk rider of scooter sustained grievous injuries. The Tata Indica car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case under of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/10/2008 at 0545 hrs Kootel Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk one Siraj driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8648 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-6602. As a result one Guruprasad (37) R/o Ramakunja village Puttur Taluk rider of scooter sustained grievous injuries.
