- A case under Cheating has been registered in Belthangady Police Station where in it is alleged that accused one Gopala R/o Macharu Ujire village Belthangady Taluk had sexual intimacy with a twenty three year girl of Mudigere Taluk Chikmagaluru District by promising to marry her. There upon he cheated her by refusing to marry her.
- A case under Rioting, House trespass, Hurt along attempt to murder has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 08/10/2008 at 1000 hrs accused Krishnappa Naik, Mohan, Vishwantaha, Koosappa and two other persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Leelavathi (32) W/o Umanatha Naik R/o Kodancharamoole Kodippadi village Puttur Taluk and assaulted her and her husband with wooden stick and sword and tried to kill them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Leelavathi and accused persons.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 08/10/2008 at 0830 hrs near Madhuvan bar at Yeyyadi Mangalore one Ranjith driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-1960 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8246. As a result Ganesh (23) R/o Padavinangady Bondel Mangalore, Jalaja and Ashwini who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 08/10/2008 at 1150 hrs at Bendoorwell Mangalore one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2019 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1460. As a result car got damaged and No Casualties reported. The driver of bus escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-19-A-1643 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandrashekara (51) R/o Mullakadu Kavoor village Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 08/10/2008 at 1730 hrs near school at Kanthadka Vittal Town one Chandrashekara rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7786 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Balakrishna Naik R/o Durganagra Vittalmudnuru village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost his control over the vehicle due which it motorcycle capsized. As a result Chandrashekara rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 07/10/2008 at 1630 hrs at Vijayanagara Golithottu village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-13-A-4382 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2162. As a result Shridhara Gowda (48) R/o Mudhva Bajatthuru village Puttur Taluk rider of motorcycle, Revathi and Vigbhashree (03) pillion riders of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
