- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 1000 hrs near bridge at Bejai Mangalore one Avinash rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-12-4334 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sanjeeva Suvarna (60) R/o Bejai New road Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due motorcycle capsized. As a result Avinash rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident along with Mischief causing damage has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 10/10/2008 in between 0200 hrs and 0300 hrs at one Yusuki Muttu M. driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-2516 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a shop at New market building Surthkal Idya village Mangalore Taluk due which shop got damaged. No causalities reported. The damage caused is about Rs. 25, 0000/.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 1130 hrs on NH 48 at Sathikallu Kidila village Puttur Taluk one driver of Tata Inidca car bearing Reg. No. KA-13-A-3151 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-577. As a result Sathisha (30) R/o BC Road Bantwal Town rider of motorcycle and Jayarama pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 1315 hrs at Pollya cross at Kabaka village Puttur Taluk one Lingappa Moolya driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1485 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an electric pole. Further lorry driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a Pickup jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-3666 driven by one Haneef K.M. As a result both vehicles damaged. No causalities reported.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 0930 hrs one Chandrashekara @ Kutti Poojary (36) R/o Senarekodi Balthial village Bantwal Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further he died on the way to hospital.
