- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 24/10/2008 at 1045 hrs at Nanthoor Mangalore one Unknown driver of mini lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4809 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-328. As a result motorcycle rider one Pramod Kumar (22) R/o Bilinele village Puttur Taluk sustained grievous injuries. The mini lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 20/10/2008 at 0930 hrs at Kannur Mangalore one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2113 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-2914. As a result Suma (34) R/o Pervaje village Mangalore Taluk, Ganapathi Bhat and Laxmi who were traveling in the said Maruti 800 car sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 1630 hrs at Nithyadaranagara Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk one Ahammed Shabeer driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8561 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Khathijamma (40) R/o Harekala village Mangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 15/10/2008 one Mahesha (25) accidentally fell down due some illness near Baithurli at Mangalore. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 21/10/2008. The death seems to be due to some illness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 20/10/2008 and 21/10/2008 one Vincent D’ Souza R/o Ullala Hoige Ullal Mangalore accidentally fell down near his house due to heavy drunkenness. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 21/10/2008 at 1700 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 20/10/2008 at 1100 hrs one Johi Vegas (20) R/o Kalanja Malady village Belthangady Taluk accidentally slipped into the pound near his house while taking bath and died due to drowning.
