- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 31/05/2008 at 1830 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-3201 belonging to one Vijaya Acharya R/o Ucchila Mangalore that was parked at parking place of Nalapad Apsara Chamber at KS Rao road Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 15,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 18/10/2008 at 1115 hrs on Moodabidre-Venoor road at Maroor village Mangalore Taluk one Badruddin driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-09-M-9725 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-661. As a result motorcycle rider one Mansoor sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 1015 hrs on NH-17 at Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one Rama driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KL-9-E-6960 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-807. As a result motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 1600 hrs at Mahathmanagara Layout Bondel Mangalore one Farooq rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2603 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-567. As a result one Srishaila Mandappa R/o Bondel Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-567 sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 0945 hrs on NH-48 at Uppinangady Town one driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-6463 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-2142 driven by one Umesh R/o Kombaru village Puttur Taluk. As a result the motorcycle got damaged. No casualties reported.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 0900 hrs one Asma (19) R/o Hosahoklu Thaneer Pantha village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the well near her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 2100 hrs one Kariyappa Gowda R/o Renjala Padnoor village Puttur Taluk accidentally fell down while walking near Mahamayee Temple at Puttur Town. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 2400 hrs. The death seems to be due some illness.

- A case of Woman and Child missing has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. One Khathija Nasrin (29) W/o Abdul Khadar R/o Krishnapura Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk left her house with her son Suhed (04) on 16/10/2008 at 0800 hrs and did not return to her house there after. They have been found missing since then.
