- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On the night of 14/10/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of arecanut from the arecanut trees belonging to one Narayana Upadyaya (71) R/o Hamkurootu Badakodi village Belthangady Taluk near his house. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 10, 000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 28/10/2008 at 1320 hrs at Sarkudel Thoudugoli Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7942 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Nagaveni (32) R/o Judumarga Bantwal Town and another female passenger who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/10/2008 at 2030 hrs in front of S.D.M. college at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one Padmayya driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8854 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Electric pole due which jeep capsized. As a result jeep driver Padmayya, Yuvaraja (24) R/o Moodabail Kokkada village Belthangady Taluk and Harish Gowda who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 27/10/2008 at 2300 hrs accused one Shiva @ Shivaprakash abused one Sudesha (21) R/o Kodikal cross road Mangalore in filthy language at Kottara Mangalore and assaulted him with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 28/10/2008 at 1230 hrs accused one Vikas abused one Dikshith Shetty D. (19) R/o Shediguri Mangalore in filthy language in the classroom at Pragathi Tutorial Surathkal Mangalore and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 28/10/2008 at 1230 hrs accused Thimmappa Rai and Gulabi abused Vishwanatha Rai (50) and Ramakka R/o Chennavara Patte Palthadu village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near their house and assaulted them with sickle and with wooden stick owing to civil dispute between them.

On 28/10/2008 at 0930 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Anganavady at Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk and seized 96 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 3168/. However accused one Kunhikanna R/o Kanemaradka Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk managed to escape from the scene.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 26/10/2008 at 1730 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 35 years was found near Yatheemkhana at Ansari road Mangalore.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/10/2008 at 1100 hrs one unknown male aged about 40-45 years accidentally fell down due some illness near Snanghatta Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk and died on the spot. The death seems to be due some illness.
