No. KA-05-N-5810 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vanajakshi Shetty a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 26/10/2008 at 2030 hrs near A.B. Shetty circle at Mangalore one Krishna driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9706 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8987. As result Kinetic Honda scooter rider Mohammed Basheer (24) R/o Mukkaccheri Ullal Mangalore and Mohammed Irfan pillion rider of said Kinetic Honda scooter sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/10/2008 at 2240 hrs near KPT circle at Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-4582 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Active scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9857. As a result one Ravishankar (60) R/o Vyasanagara KPT Mangalore rider of Honda Active scooter sustained grievous injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

Nayak Petrol Pump at Alike village Bantwal Taluk and abused him filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be that one Balakrishna Mesthri had earlier lodged a complaint against accused person in Vittal Police Station.

On 27/10/2008 at 2000 hrs accused Prakash Pinto, Anil Kallapu and Arun Adamkudru criminally restrained one Sagar S Shetty (18) R/o Kamblapadau Konaje village Mangalore Taluk near new bus stand at Thokkuttu Mangalore and abused him filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

On 27/10/2008 at 1330 hrs on credible information Anantha Murudeshwara ASI Mangalore North PS along with staff arrested one Abdul Rahiman (42) R/o Kudroli Mangalore and seized 190 grams wroth Rs 3,000 of Ganja from his his possession. Police apprehended him while he was selling Ganja in front of Commonwealth Ground at Kudroli Mangalore.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 27/10/2008 at 1045 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 40 yrs to 45 yrs was found on railway track at Chelairu village Mangalore Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

- A case of Boy Missing has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. One Chennaveerappa (18) R/o near Bhajana Mandira Bajpe Mangalore left his house on 18/10/2008 at 1100 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He was found missing since then.
- A case of Girl Missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Leelavathi (22) R/o Adyathakhanda Peruvaje village Sullia Taluk left her house on 20/10/2008 at 0400 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She was found missing since then.
