- A case of Robbery has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 16/10/2008 at 2015 hrs at Kodange Padavu village Mangalore Taluk one Usha P Naval (31) R/o Haveri District was on her way to home by walk. At that time one unknown person aged about 20-25 years came near her and snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs. 60,000/.

- A case of Servent Theft has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 25/09/2008 and 05/10/2008 accused one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-4597 committed theft of a lorry Tyre along with Disk that was parked near Ashwija complex at Bala village Mangalore Taluk belonging to R P Transport Company at Ashwija complex Bala village Mangalore Taluk Town. The stolen property is worth Rs. 23, 000/.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 06/10/2008 in between 1600 hrs and 2200 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-978 belonging to one Subhod Shetty (25) R/o Atthavara Mangalore that was parked in front of KMC at Atthavara Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 8,000/.

On 15/10/2008 at 2200 hrs accused one William Kardoja criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Bipathumma (39) R/o Hudco Colony Parthya village Mangalore Taluk and abused her filthy language and gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

On 16/10/2008 at 0715 hrs in front of Mandovi Motors at Balmata road Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-392 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6622. As a result motorcycle rider Khasim Khan (38) R/o Kujathabail Kavoor Mangalore and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 15/10/2008 at 1030 hrs in front of Govt Primary school at Bejai Kapikad Mangalore one Lineal Steven Koyello driver of Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-8375 drove his vehicle rash and negligent and dashed an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7160. As a Mamatha Rao (44) R/o Kottara Ashokanagara Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 15/10/2008 at 2200 hrs at Kaibattalu Kadri Mangalore one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8609 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2459. As a result motorcycle rider Lohith (24) R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore and Varadaraja pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 11/10/2008 at 1930 hrs on NH 48 at Kootelu Uppinangady Town one Razak rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-13-K-1624 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Razak A. (33) R/o Erukadavu Kaliya village Belthangady Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 15/10/2008 at 1930 hrs on NH 48 Periyashanthi Kaukradi village Puttur Taluk one Manohara driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-01-B-7950 drove his vehicle rash and negligent and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-818. As a result Roy T K (30) R/o Kallarbha Ichlampadi village Puttur Taluk driver of said jeep and 4 passengers who where traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 1530 hrs at Kabaka Town one Pushparaj driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9479 drove his vehicle rash and negligent manner due which he lost control over the vehicle and capsized. As a result Dharnappa P (29) R/o Pandelu Kula village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 16/10/2008 at 0730 hrs accused Chandrahasa Shetty, Prasad, Vishwanatha, Hansaraj and Sadananda forming into an unlawful assembly and Criminally restrained one Kashmir Pinto R/o Balya Barimaru village Bantwal Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.

On 16/10/2008 at 2235 hrs accused one Bojaraj passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4442 criminally restrained one Riyaz (23) R/o Panjimadi Harekal village Mangalore Taluk conductor of said bus at Kelaasaigoli Manjandy village Mangalore Taluk and abused him filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

On 15/10/2008 at 2000 hrs accused Nishan and Bipathumma criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one William Kardoja (50) R/o Hudco Colony Parthya village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be that one William Kardoja had earlier lodged a complaint against accused persons in Moodabidre Police Station.
- A case under 86, 87, 71 (a) Karnataka Forest Act along with theft has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/10/2008 at 1130 hrs at Nekkilady 34 Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk, PSI Uppinangady PS along with his staff on credible information apprehended Aseer (32) R/o Kerala State and Akmali (35) R/o Chikkamagalur District for transporting 41 kgs sandal wood pieces illegally in a Scorpio car bearing No. KL-04-X-1351 worth of Rs 5,00,000/ has been seized. It is learnt that these sandle wood pieces have been stolen somewhere else by the accused. The total value of siezed property is Rs. 5,82,000/.
