A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 29/10/2008 at 1030 hrs on credible information PSI Ullal PS along with his staff conducted a raid on public place at Kondana Nadukumeeru Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk and seized 26 cocks and cash Rs. 385/ by arresting Ravindra (47), Bhoja Poojary (50), Praveen Belchada (25) and Vasantha Mogera (20) and Guruva (40) who were indulged in betting on cock fighting.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Sullia PS U/s 87, 93 of the Karnataka Police Act.
