On the intervening night of 09-10/12/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Dharegudde Basadi at Moodabidre village by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and Kanike Hundi all in worth Rs. 20,000/.

- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 11/12/2006 at 1530 hrs one Murali committed theft of a Lap top computer which was kept inside the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-7297 belonging to one Santhosh (26) R/o Ramanagara Nelyaadi Puttur Taluk at Maidan Road Mangalore. Further the accused was caught redhand by the public handed over to the Police. Accordingly he has been arrested and remanded for judicial custody.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 10/12/2006 at 0930 hrs near Kordabbu Temple Kandavara village Mangalore Taluk one Shivananda driver of an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7425 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Keshava Saphaliga (29) R/o Kinnikambala post Kandavara village who was travelling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injures.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Uppinangady Police Station. On 10/12/2006 at 1830 hrs at Puriya Perne village Bantwal Taluk one Vittal Shetty rider of motorcycle KA-21-J-4409 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Suresh Shetty a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a KSRTC Crane bearing Reg. No. KA-01-F-4117. As a result pillion rider of the said motorcycle one Rajesh Shetty sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 11/12/2006 at 0330 hrs one Wilson driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-13-N-9900 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-31-M-1983. As a result Nasir Husain (36) R/o Bommanakatte Shimoga District diver of said car, Manjula, Venkatesh, Narashimha Moorthy, Jagadeesh and Ramappa who were travelling in the said car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/12/2006 at 1430 hrs one Appaji driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8148 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8148. As a result Yousuf driver of auto rickshaw, Shashikala (23) R/o Kukkala village Belthangady Taluk and Pushpa who were travelling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 10/12/2006 in between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs accused Hakeem, Naseer, Noushad and 04 other persons forming into an unlawful assembly criminally restrained Moiuddin (43) R/o Harekala village Mangalore Taluk and Mohammed near Yenapoya hospital and abused them in filthy language and attempted to kill them by assaulting with wooden stick owing to personal enmity.
- A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 11/12/2006 at 1900 hrs at Maninalkuru Bantwal Taluk accused Lathif, Saadique, Abbas Derala, Mohammad @ Mammi, Hyder Kundevu and Bhasheer forming into an unlawful assembly assaulted one Prashanth Naik driver of car bearing Reg. No. CRY-9566 by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 11/12/2006 at 1245 hrs one Hoovayya (65) R/o Padukana house Aryapu village Puttur Taluk fell down while walking near State Bank Mangalore. He was admitted to Wenlock hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.

- A case of Man missing case has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Mohammed Asharaf (33) R/o Hoige house Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk who went to Kaiko at Ullal village on his motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA19-V-1454 on 10/12/2006 at 0800 hrs has not returned to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
