- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station where in one Gopalakrishna has been declared dead while under treatment on 26/12/2006 at 0930 hrs. The said Goplakrishna was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 22/12/2006 at 2200 hrs on NH 17 near NITK College Surathkal Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the A.J. Hospital. In this connection a case has been already registered in Surathkal Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 28/12/2006 at 1815 hrs at Nooyi Addur Mangalore Taluk one Ravi (35) R/o Shiva Nagar Vamanjoor Mangalore Taluk driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg.No. KA-19-8543 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due to which the auto rickshaw capsized. As result one Ravi driver of said auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries. He was admitted to Govt Hospital Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day while under treatment.

On 28/12/2006 at 0915 hrs on NH 17 at Talapady Mangalore Taluk one driver of Jeep bearing Reg.No. KL-02-D-9115 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Devaki (50) R/o Beeri Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her serious injuries. She was admitted to Colaco Hospital Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries on the same day while under treatment.

On 28/12/2006 at 1030 hrs at Balmatta Mangalore one unknown driver of bus drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against to a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-G-272. As a result motorcycle rider one Keshava Head constable of Urwa PS sustained grievous injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Urwa Police Station. On 28/12/2006 at 1250 hrs at Kuntikana junction Mangalore Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7359 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-7443 driven by one Nagesh (48) R/o Surathkal Mangalore Taluk. As a result auto rickshaw driver and a passenger in the said car sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-A-97 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motor cycle bearing Reg. No. CTA-2037 driven by one Salam K. (28) R/o Majalu Mane Farangipete village Bantwal Taluk. As a result pillion rider of the said motorcycle one Mohammad Rifayil sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 28/12/2006 at Kinnikambla Mangalore Taluk one Aseem rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9367 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bicycle driven by one Sujay (51) R/o Kinnikambla Ganjimatt Mangalore Taluk. As a result bicycle got damaged. No causalities reported. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 21/12/2006 at 1300 hrs at Urlandi Puttur Taluk one driver of Maruti Omni bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-4212 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Luna bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8324. As a result rider of Luna one Ananth Achari (73) R/o Manjalpadpu Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries.

On 27/12/2006 at 2115 hrs at Bollaru Nekkilady Puttur Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg.No. KA-02-C-9600 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3096. As a result motorcycle rider one Razaq sustained simple injuries.

On 28/12/2006 at 2015 hrs at Pariwarakhana Sullia Town one unknown driver of car drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against Gangadhara Naik and Udaya the pedestrians and caused them simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his car.

- A case of Un Natural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. One Sandesh (27) R/o Y.M.Store Stand Pitt Bengre Mangalore Taluk was found dead near Sea Shore at Babbu Swamy Temple Kudroli Bengre. The death seems to be due drowning.
- A case of Un Natural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. In between 26/12/2006 at 1130 hrs and 27/12/2006 at 1730 hrs one Shyama Kiran (20) R/o Kukkarabettu Netla Mudnur village committed suicide by jumping into a pond near his house owing to health problem.
