• A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On the intervening night of 21-25/08/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry into Thodikana Sri Mallikarjuna Temple at Thodikana village Sullia Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of one Brass idol.

Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station where in one Umesh (35) R/o Kadandale village Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 25/12/2006 at 1745 hrs. The said Umesh was seriously injured in a road traffic accident on 25/12/2006 at 0900 hrs at Murukaveri Kinnigoli Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the Wenlock Hospital Mangalore. In this connection a case of road traffic accident was already registered in Mulki Police Station.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police. On 25/12/2006 at 1545 hrs on NH 48 at Dasarakodi Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one Madhava Shetty driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-5457 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-02-ES-6604. As a result one Lorel Lasrado rider of the said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. He was admitted to Bantwal Government hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 23/12/2006 at 1030 hrs at Rayee Bantwala Taluk one Shashi Kumar rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. CRQ-3777 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Babu Saphalya (60) R/o Kaithrodi Koila village Bantwala Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 24/12/2006 at 1630 hrs at Kalikamba MPT road Mangalore one Mohamed Salim rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-8019 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and suddenly applied break due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result pillion rider of said motorcycle one Mohammed M K (20) R/o Kudroli Mangalore Taluk sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Barke Police Station. On 25/12/2006 at 1845 hrs at Bejai Junction Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-7907 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7551. As a result one Shabanna (26) R/o Jogimata Kadri Mangalore Taluk driver of said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries. The driver of Bus bearing Reg. KA-19-AE-7907 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Belthangadi Police Station. On 24/12/2006 at 2000 hrs at Palike Navoor village Belthangadi Taluk accused Pasku abused one Annu Nalike (49) R/o Kelthaje Mane Kanyadi village Belthangadi Taluk assaulted him with sickle and gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 25/12/2006 at 1200 hrs at Baikampady bus stop Mangalore Taluk one Sundara (36) has been found dead. The death seems to be due to excessive drinking.
