Sukhananda Shetty Murder Case: Two More Arrested

The special team constituted to investigate into the murder of BJP Leader Sukhananda Shetty has today (16/12/2006) nabbed two more prime accused involved in the offence. Their names being;

1. Abdul Rahman @ Dadapal 27 yrs R/o Kalladka Golthamajalu village Bantwal taluk (Arrested from Farangpet, Bantal taluk)
2. Mohammed Shakir 26 yrs R/o Mulki (Arrested from Haleyangadi Mangalore taluk)

The accused Abdul Rahman is a known communal goonda of Kalladka and he is involved in as many as 05 communal cases in the past of which two are cases of attempt to murder. In the instant case, he is found directly invloved in the attack as he had accompanied the team that went in the stolen Qualis vehicle and attacked Sukhananda Shetty near his office on 01/12/2006.

The other accused Mohammed Shakir is found to be involved in the conspiracy to attack and kill Sukhananda Shetty. He has provided all assistance and actively aided and abetted the other accused in the commission of this offence.

With this the total number of arrested has gone to 07. Efforts are still continued to apprehend the other culprits.
