Based on the interrogation of the prime accused Abdul Kabeer, Abdul Rahman Dadapal and Mohammed Shakir who have been taken into police custody, the special police team has made further progress in identifying persons responsible for the murder of Sukhananda Shetty. Of these two persons have been nabbed today (17/12/206) by the police. The details of the arrested persons are as under:
1. Mohammed Azeez @ Azeez 30 yrs R/o Kotekar village Mangalore taluk. He is the owner of a restaurant in Mangalore city. He is found to have paid money to Mulki Rafique - a notorious criminal and hired killer - who is emerging as the main kingpin behind this entire murder conspiracy. Azeez has been arrested today from Kotekar village on the charge of abetment and conspiracy.
2. Abdul Khader Ali @ Khader 28 yrs Kulai vilage Mangalore taluk. He is a mutton merchant by profession. He has also provided monetary and other support to the main accused in the case. He has been picked up from Kulai village today.
Both the accused are being produced before the judicial magistrate after completion of their interrogation.
With this the total arrested in the case has gone up to 09. Of these while three are in police custody for further interrogation, the remaining are in judicial custody.
