- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Urwa Police Station. On 18/12/2006 at 1920 hrs at Hat hill Mangalore one unknown rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-8196 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8357 belongs to one Vittal Shetty. K (74) R/o Kadri Mangalore. As a result the car got damaged. No casualties reported. The Scooter rider escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.

As a result one Prince Velarian D’Souza R/o Ullal Hoige Ullal Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 19/12/2006 at 1130 hrs at Bikarnakatte Mangalore Taluk one driver of Nishmitha Travels Bus drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due to which one Prakash Hegde (22) R/o Marne village Karkalla Taluk Udupi district a passenger in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

On 18/12/2006 at 1430 hrs on NH 48 Shiradi village Kadembila Puttur Taluk one Keshava driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7012 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and suddenly applied break due to which the motorcycle bearing Reg. No KA-21-J-5174 which was behind the Jeep rammed to it from back. As a result motorcycle rider Rahman sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On the night of 18/12/2006 one Radhakrishna Bhat (39) R/o Kunjathabailu Mangalore Taluk developed chest pain. He was admitted to the hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 18/12/2006 at 0730 hrs one unknown male aged about 30 yrs fell down on the road while walking near Angaragundi at Baikampady Mangalore Taluk due to some illness. He was admitted to the Wenlock hospital where he was declared dead on the same day while under treatment.
