• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 29-30/12/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Ismail (36) R/o Kattattharu Keyyuru village Puttur Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of three watches, cash Rs. 4,000 and gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 16,000/.

Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1730 hrs on Belman-Moodabidre road at B.T. road Kadandale village Mangalore Taluk one Joseph rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-984 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Santhan Sequera (55) a pedestian and caused him serious injuries. He was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 2130 hrs. The motorcycle rider Joseph and Raju pillion rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1445 on SH at Arambooru Aletty village Sullia Taluk one Suresh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-2462 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5666. As a result Suresh motorcycle rider and Dinesh pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and they succumbed to their injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1000 hrs at Lalbhag Mangalore one Shivakumar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9453 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2061 driven by one Ambaraya K.H R/o Alagunda Gulbarga. As a result some passenger who were traveling in the said KSRTC bus sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1445 hrs at Maradka Mannabettu village Mangalore Taluk one Mohan Kumar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-02-AA-7127 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Mahindra Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-30-2052. As a result one Sharada (27) R/o Bhatkal Taluk Uttara Kannada District who was traveling in the said Mahindra tempo sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 29/12/2007 at 0930 hrs at Janthigoli Belthangady Taluk one Mahaveera Jain driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-9596 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new motorcycle. As a result Sukumar Shetty motorcycle rider and Umesha Moolya pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1630 hrs at Parpunja Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk one Abdul Khader driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7739 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg.No. KA-12-3037. As a result Fowziya (20) R/o Keyyuru village Puttur Taluk and Sansina who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 29/12/2007 at 2300 hrs accused Ranadeep, Sandeep, Venkatesha and other three persons forming into an unlawful assembly at the premise of Bombay Lucky Hotel at Golikatte Mangalore abused one Hemanth R/o Kadri Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him with cold drink bottle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 30/12/2007 at 1915 at Puttur Town accused one Suresha R/o Bottatharu Puttur Town assaulted one Guruva (40) R/o Chikkamudnur village Puttur Taluk with iron rod and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1930 hrs at Ujurody Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk accused one Bhaskara Acharya assaulted one Mohammed Rafique N. (19) R/o Neerpady Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk with sickle owing to financial issue.

On 29/12/2007 at 2130 hrs at Menala Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk one driver of Tractor drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Kunhi (55) R/o Menala Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. He was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
  
• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 29/12/2007 at 2100 hrs on Sullia-Puttur State Highway at Halegetu Sullia Town one Naveen Kumar D.S. driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2143 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chennappa (48) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 26/12/2007 at 1300 hrs on NH-17 at Kuntikana Mangalore one Shivaraj driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-C-773 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due to which Indica car capsized. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.

No. KA-19-B-3491 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Raja C.V. R/o Meenakaliya Panambur Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 28/12/2007 at 1430 hrs on NH 17 at Adamkudru Jappinamogeru village Mangalore one Rafique driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7430 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Active Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-6774 driven by one Jabbar. As a result one Usman (40) R/o Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said Active Honda scooter sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 27/12/2007 at 1500 hrs at Vagga Kavalapaduru village Bantwal Taluk one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-01-A-8332 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an electric pole. As a result electric pole got damaged. No causalities reported. The damage is caused about Rs. 8,000/.

On 29/12/2007 at 1120 hrs on Gundya-Subramanya road at Palligadde Bilinele village Puttur Taluk one driver of Santro car bearing Reg. No. KA-05-MD-814 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an India car bearing Reg.No. KA-05-C-6457. As a result Vasudeva K. (55) R/o Chamarajapete Bangalore driver of Indica car and other passenger who were traveling in the said Indica car sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Kadaba Police Station. On 21/12/2007 at 1500 hrs at Athuru Ramakunja village Puttur Taluk one Davood (32) R/o Kaprady Puthila village Belthangady Taluk while getting in to the jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3773, driver of said jeep moved the jeep in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the jeep and sustained simple injuries. The driver of jeep escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

The Motive seems to be civil dispute between Peter Mathew and accused persons.

On 19/12/2007 at 1120 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop, an Airtel Data Card, a Sony Digital Camera and other documents belonging to one Ashothush Parakar R/o Hariyana State which was kept inside the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2244 that was parked in the premises of Empire Building at Mangalore. The stolen property is worth Rs. 48,000/.

R/o Bengre Mangalore and abused her and Sebastian D’Souza in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and gave life threat to them. They also damaged the house by breaking roof tiles owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 1945 hrs at Janatha Colony Paladka village Mangalore Taluk one Lathesh driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-3464 drove his vehicle in backward direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-20-6565. As a result auto rickshaw driver Sanjeeva Poojary sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Vijayalakshmi who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/12/2007 at 1300 hrs at Kulashekara Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-2253 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Karunakara Shetty (34) R/o Billady Udupi District a pedestrian caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/12/2007 at 2245 hrs at Urimajalu Idkidu village Mangalore one Bava Kunchi D.B. driver of car bearing Reg. • A case of Robbery has been registered in Ullal Police Station.. On 17/12/2007 at 0620 hrs at Kacharu Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one Balakrishna Rai (46) R/o Sharadanagara Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk was on his way to home by walk. At that time two unknown person came in a motorcycle and robbed cash Rs. 55,000 from his bag and ran away with their motorcycle.

In between 16/12/2007 at 2330 hrs and 17/12/2007 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry gain into the house belonging to one Edwin J. F. D’Souza (59) R/o Highland Mangalore by removing the window glass and committed theft of gold ornaments, a Laptop, a DVD Player and a Mobile all in worth Rs. 2,75,000/.

On 16/12/2007 at 2115 hrs at Madoor Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk accused Deepak and Tharanatha abused Sunitha (28) R/o Madoor village Mangalore Taluk and Sundara in filthy language and assaulted them by hand with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 0630 hrs accused Vittal Shetty, Girija Shetty and Praveen Shetty abused Mrs. Shashikala (30) R/o Kudriya Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk and Kumari Shashikala in filthy language near their house and assaulted them with stone owing to civil dispute.

No. KA-19-C-9933 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6353. As a result motorcycle rider one Shreshta Kumar Padival (32) R/o Mangalore sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 2330 hrs near Lalbhag at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7347 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Hemanth Kumar (28) R/o Jaloor Rajasthan State a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1530 hrs at Karangalapady Mangalore one driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7932 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MM-1181 driven by one Dr. Muralidhara Pai R/o Gandhinagara Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1500 hrs at Perne Bantwal Taluk one Sharif driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-23-M-5472 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which due which jeep capsized. As a result Ashraf K. U. (28) R/o Konalu village Puttur Taluk, Amina and Aminakala who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1330 hrs near Koiyur cross at Laila village Belthangady Taluk one Usman driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9515 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9386 driven by one Chandrahas (21) R/o Koiyyur Belthangady Taluk. As a result one Raghu who was traveling in the auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9386 sustained simple injuries.

On 17/12/2007 at 1500 hrs near Vaibhav Hotel at Kavoor Mangalore Yallappa (45) and his wife Eramma (40) both residents of Kushtagi Taluk Koppala District sustained serious injuries and died on the spot when the mud wall where they were working accidentally collapsed over them due to the negligence of one Kameer Khannu (49) R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore the owner of said land.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 15/12/2007 at 1500 hrs one Ravi Poojary (32) R/o Manjathottu Perady village Belthangady Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming pesticides in his house owing to health problem. Further he was admitted to Alva’s hospital at Moodabidre were he declared dead while under treatment on 17/12/2007 at 0330 hrs.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1745 hrs one Shinappa Poojary (45) developed chest pain and died while traveling in the KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2129 near Manihalla Bantwal Taluk. The death seems to be due to some illness.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 16/12/2007 at 2000 hrs and 17/12/2007 at 0700 hrs one Lingappa Gowda (75) R/o Mogru village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
