On 12/12/2007 at 0130 hrs one Udayakumar Rai (22) R/o NMPT Colony Panambur Mangalore gained entry into the house belonging to one Varun Bhat (22) R/o Kodialgutthu Mangalore by removing the window and committed theft of a Nokia Mobile phone and a Gold ring all in worth Rs. 6, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 12/12/2007 at 1915 hrs on Sullia-Puttur road at Kowdicharu junction Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk one Somanatha R/o Madavu Kaiyuru village Puttur Taluk driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-9481 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and without giving any signal turned his vehicle to right side and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-1008. As a result one Jeevan Pinto pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot and Prakash K. (35) R/o Bellipady village Puttur Taluk rider of motorcycle also sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 12/12/2007 at 0925 hrs on at Ullalabail Ullal Mangalore one Rajesh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4977 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which one Mohammed Faizal who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

On 12/12/2007 at 0945 hrs on NH-17 at Naguri Kankanady Mangalore one unknown Canter mini lorry driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6143. As a result Sujith R/o Subhashnagara Munnur village Mangalore Taluk driver of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries. The Canter mini lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
