- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 28/12/2007 at 0830 hrs at Missionmoole Keminje village Puttur Taluk one Udaya driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-2225 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-3988. As a result one Mudara (40) R/o Serve village Puttur Taluk rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 27/12/2007 at 1630 hrs at Eshwaramangala Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk one Ashraf Menala driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5494 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Krithi (08) R/o Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.

On 26/12/2007 at 1800 hrs accused Jose, Joshi, Prince, Praveen, Meri and Preethi forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Peter Mathew (60) R/o Parekatil R/o Thotatthady village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The Motive seems to be civil dispute between Peter Mathew and accused persons.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Konaje Police Station. In between 27/12/2007 at 1830 hrs and 28/12/2007 at 1700 hrs one Ramanna (50) committed suicide by hanging at Boliyaru village Mangalore Taluk owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 27/12/2007 at 2130 hrs and 28/12/2007 at 0500 hrs one Sushila Nayak (50) Ranipura Munnoor village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the well near her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 28/12/2007 at 0600 hrs one Meenakshi (70) R/o Kalleri Haleneranki village Puttur Taluk accidentally slipped into a pond near her house while taking bath and died of drowning.
