In between 18/12/2007 at 2200 hrs and 19/12/2007 at 0545 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Hanumagiri Rama Mandira at Vittal Bantwal Town by breaking the door lock and committed theft of ‘Kanike Hundi’ and cash Rs. 500/ all in worth Rs. 1,100/.

- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 1120 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop, an Airtel Data Card, a Sony Digital Camera and other documents belonging to one Ashothush Parakar R/o Hariyana State which was kept inside the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2244 that was parked in the premises of Empire Building at Mangalore. The stolen property is worth Rs. 48,000/.
- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On night of 17/12/2007 some unknown culprits committed theft of Telephone Cable (10/500 meter and 5/240 meter) belonging to BSNL Moodabidre that was fixed at Sampige Thenka Mijaru village Mangalore Taluk. The stolen property is worth Rs. 9,440/.

No. KA-21-H-1328 belonging to one Mutthappa Moolya (49) R/o Thulasivana Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk that was parked in side the shop at Thulasivana Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk. The motorcycle is worth Rs.10, 000.

- A case under Rioting, House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 18/12/2007 at 1100 hrs accused Habeeb, Hasan, Farooq, Haneef, Ansar and other 20-25 persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Raziya (33) W/o Ismail M. R/o Bengre Mangalore and abused her and Sebastian D’Souza in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and gave life threat to them. They also damaged the house by breaking roof tiles owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 1945 hrs at Janatha Colony Paladka village Mangalore Taluk one Lathesh driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-3464 drove his vehicle in backward direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-20-6565. As a result auto rickshaw driver Sanjeeva Poojary sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Vijayalakshmi who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/12/2007 at 1300 hrs at Kulashekara Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-2253 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Karunakara Shetty (34) R/o Billady Udupi District a pedestrian caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/12/2007 at 2245 hrs at Urimajalu Idkidu village Mangalore one Bava Kunchi D.B. driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-3784 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result one Dr. Prashanth who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

Motive is financial issue.

On 19/12/2007 at 1600 hrs accused one Harishchandra Gatti (40) criminally restrained one Sandesh (23) R/o Kapikad Ullal Mangalore near Railway Station at Adka Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 0800 hrs at Perabe village Puttur Taluk accused Sahul Hameed, Razak Sulaiman and Razak stopped a Lorry and dragged the driver of the Lorry Ibrahim Abdul Hameed P. (55) R/o Naithady Kuriya village Puttur Taluk and cleaner of the said lorry and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them by hand also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
