- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 15/12/2007 at 1730 hrs and 16/12/2007 at 0500 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Mahendra Scorpio vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-16-M-2590 belonging to one Julpikar Ali Husain that was parked near Jayashree Gate at Mangalore. The Mahendra Scorpio vehicle is worth Rs. 4,00,000/.

- A case under House trespass, Outranging the modesty of women, Hurt, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 15/12/2007 at 2330 hrs accused Srinivas, Venkatesh, and Jayanthi w/o Srinivas criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Jaya (40) W/o Surendra R/o Gandhinagara Kavoor Mangalore and outraged her modesty by pulling her hand and assaulted her and husband Surendra with wooden stick and damaged the house by pelting stone and also gave life threat to them. Motive seems to be personal enmity between them.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1330 hrs accused one Gopala Kriahna Moolya criminally restrained one Revathi (25) W/o Dombayya Moolya R/o Golithadka Kuntharu village Puttur Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 0430 hrs near Over Bridge at Ullal Mangalore one Tharanatha driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-8032 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Damodhar Shettigar (37) R/o Ullal Mangalore who traveling in the said auto rickshaw was thrown out of the auto rickshaw and sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1300 hrs at Someshwara Mangalore one Mudasir driver of car bearing Reg. No. MH-01-Y-1586 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-625. As a result Rahamathulla U. H. (32) R/o Ullal Mangalore driver of auto rickshaw and Abdul Khader who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 0845 hrs at Yennakalthota Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk one Gopinatha driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-C-8694 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2220 driven by one Maruti H. (29). As a result driver of car Gopinatha, Shivalingayya and Chennamma who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Attempt to murder has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1300 hrs accused Mithun Fernandez (25) R/o Kunjathabail Mangalore, Srinivas M. (43) R/o Gandhinagara Kavoor Mangalore, Venkatesha and other 3 persons came in a Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-1069 and a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CRX-1327 and forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons and stopped a motorcycle at Bodel Marakada village Mangalore Taluk and abused the rider of motorcycle one Udaya Kumar (34) R/o Sunkadakatte Bajpe Mangalore in filthy language and attempted to kill him by assaulting with wooden stick and with kinfe. They also assaulted pillion rider of said motorcycle one Sathish with wooden stick who came o help Udaya Kumar. The motive seems to be family dispute.

- A case under Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1300 hrs accused one Pakeera assaulted one Sundara (36) R/o Koyla Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk with sickle near his house. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 01
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 0900 hrs one Bhaskara B.V (21) a student of K.V.G. Dental College Sullia Town attempted to commit suicide by jumping from college building and got serious injuries. He was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore were he declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1300 hrs.
