- A case of Robbery has been registered in Ullal Police Station.. On 17/12/2007 at 0620 hrs at Kacharu Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one Balakrishna Rai (46) R/o Sharadanagara Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk was on his way to home by walk. At that time two unknown person came in a motorcycle and robbed cash Rs. 55,000 from his bag and ran away with their motorcycle.

In between 16/12/2007 at 2330 hrs and 17/12/2007 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry gain into the house belonging to one Edwin J. F. D’Souza (59) R/o Highland Mangalore by removing the window glass and committed theft of gold ornaments, a Laptop, a DVD Player and a Mobile all in worth Rs. 2,75,000/.

On 16/12/2007 at 2115 hrs at Madoor Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk accused Deepak and Tharanatha abused Sunitha (28) R/o Madoor village Mangalore Taluk and Sundara in filthy language and assaulted them by hand with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 0630 hrs accused Vittal Shetty, Girija Shetty and Praveen Shetty abused Mrs. Shashikala (30) R/o Kudriya Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk and Kumari Shashikala in filthy language near their house and assaulted them with stone owing to civil dispute.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1645 hrs at Lalbhag Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-9933 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6353. As a result motorcycle rider one Shreshta Kumar Padival (32) R/o Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 2330 hrs near Lalbhag at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7347 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Hemanth Kumar (28) R/o Jaloor Rajasthan State a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1530 hrs at Karangalapady Mangalore one driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7932 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MM-1181 driven by one Dr. Muralidhara Pai R/o Gandhinagara Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/12/2007 at 1500 hrs at Perne Bantwal Taluk one Sharif driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-23-M-5472 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which due which jeep capsized. As a result Ashraf K. U. (28) R/o Konalu village Puttur Taluk, Amina and Aminakala who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1330 hrs near Koiyur cross at Laila village Belthangady Taluk one Usman driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9515 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9386 driven by one Chandrahas (21) R/o Koiyyur Belthangady Taluk. As a result one Raghu who was traveling in the auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9386 sustained simple injuries.

On 17/12/2007 at 1500 hrs near Vaibhav Hotel at Kavoor Mangalore Yallappa (45) and his wife Eramma (40) both residents of Kushtagi Taluk Koppala District sustained serious injuries and died on the spot when the mud wall where they were working accidentally collapsed over them due to the negligence of one Kameer Khannu (49) R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore the owner of said land.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 15/12/2007 at 1500 hrs one Ravi Poojary (32) R/o Manjathottu Perady village Belthangady Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming pesticides in his house owing to health problem. Further he was admitted to Alva’s hospital at Moodabidre were he declared dead while under treatment on 17/12/2007 at 0330 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 17/12/2007 at 1745 hrs one Shinappa Poojary (45) developed chest pain and died while traveling in the KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2129 near Manihalla Bantwal Taluk. The death seems to be due to some illness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 16/12/2007 at 2000 hrs and 17/12/2007 at 0700 hrs one Lingappa Gowda (75) R/o Mogru village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
