- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Criminal intimidation along with intending to insult the modesty of woman (sec 509 IPC) has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 12/12/2007 at 1900 hrs at Aliyuru pete Valpady village Mangalore Taluk accused Vittala and Nagesh abused one Vasanthi (38) W/o Dayananda R/o Valpady village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and tried to insult her modesty and also gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be that Vasanthi had earlier lodged a complaint against accused persons in Moodabidre Police Station.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 12/12/2007 at 1445 hrs on NH-17 near Talapady Bridge at Talapady village Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-10-B-5553 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramanna Achary (52) R/o Thachchani Talapady village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian. As a result one Ramanna sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 14/12/2007 at 0315 hrs on Aramthodu-Yelimale road at Kayarthadka Markanja village Sullia Taluk one Kushalappa Gowda rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3332 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the motorcycle fell in to a roadside ditch. As a result Kushalappa Gowda rider of motorcycle sustained serious injuries and Ananda (20) R/o Devachalla village Sullia Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. Further Kushalappa Gowda was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 01/12/2007 on Nellikayi road at Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-5630 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-0413. As a result one Yogish R/o Bantwal Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-0413 sustained simple injuries. The rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-5630 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 14/12/2007 at 1315 hrs on NH-17 near KPT Mangalore one unknown Echier Tempo driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-8301. As a result Sanath Kumar K. R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The driver of Echier Tempo escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-19-P-8033 drove her vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-P-9876. As a result one Anantha Padmanabha (33) R/o Delanthabettu village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 12/12/2007 at 1915 hrs on NH 17 at Thokkottu junction Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3880 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-3571. As a result one Deepak rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 03/12/2007 at 1100 hrs near State bank at Ullal Mangalore Taluk one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Moiddin (52) R/o Mukkacheri Ullal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. One Shweta (18) R/o Vidyanagara Shirthady village Mangalore Taluk who left her house on 12/12/2007 at 1000 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
