- A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 23/12/2007 in between 0800 hrs and 0930 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Divya Prabha (28) R/o Muchirapadavu Peruvayi village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 50,000/.

- A case of Ordinary theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 22/12/2007 in between 1945 hrs and 2015 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of Kenwood stereo system from the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-90 belongings to one Ullas K. (30) R/o Kulai Hosabettu Mangalore, which was parked at premise of Mangala Stadium Mangalore. The stolen property is worth Rs 7,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 0930 hrs at Meginapete Vittal village Bantwal Taluk one Ravi K. driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MEI-4735 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-8272. As a result motorcycle rider Addu @ Abdul Kunhi and Kunhi Monu (30) R/o Meginapete Vittal village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further Kunhi Monu succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 1700 hrs on Somathadka- Didupe road at Mitthabagilu village Belthangady Taluk one Mohana rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6291 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sridhara Poojary (45) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further Sridhara Poojary succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 24/12/2007 at 0730 hrs at Kalladka Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk one Ravichandra Shanthi rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9360 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandrashekar Nayak a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries and died on the spot. The motorcycle rider Ravichandra Shanthi and pillion rider of said motorcycle Prashanth Shanthi also sustained simple injuries.

On 22/12/2007 at 1915 hrs on NH-17 at Samagaragundi Marpady village Mangalore Taluk one Saleem driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5627 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-454. As a result Sadananda Poojary R/o Puthige village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 1910 hrs at Thaneerbhavi Panambur Mangalore one Sunil driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8270 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which car capsized. As a result Preevan Mascarenhas (18) R/o Bejai Mangalore and Robin who traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries. The car got damaged.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 22/12/2007 at 1630 hrs on NH-48 at Thalapady Bantwal Town one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-3485 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-1177. As a result Farooq (30) R/o Kuthar Mangalore motorcycle rider sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 0830 hrs at Arasukatte Naravi village Belthangady Taluk one Hyder driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-9999 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against car bearing Reg. No. KA-25-2541. As a result driver of said car Yellappa, Sadananda Bhadra Shetty (18) R/o Savadatthi Taluk Belguam District, Mohan Singh and Mahesh Patel who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Rioting, House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 0100 hrs accused Sandeep and other 4 persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Nagesh Poojary R/o Bunts Hostel Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with soda bottle and with belt and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 0900 hrs accused Hanuma, Gangu, Parvathi, Deyyu and Desalu forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Koragappa (29) Navoor Kasaba village Sullia Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and with sickle. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Koragappa and accused persons.

On 23/12/2007 at 0900 hrs at Gandhinagra Navoor village Sullia Taluk accused one Koragappa abused one Malla N. B. (39) R/o Jayanagara Kasaba village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and also assaulted him with wooden stick and with sickle. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Malla N.B. and accused person.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 23/12/2007 at 0900 hrs one Ajith M Shetty (45) R/oVadala 5th Colony Mumbai committed suicide by consuming pesticide in his room at Darbar Lodge Maidan road Mangalore.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 21/12/2007 at 1500 hrs one Pushavathi (39) R/o. Amarapadnur village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in her house. Further she was admitted to hospital at Puttur where she declared dead while under treatment on 22/12/2007 at 1625 hrs.
