- A case under Murder has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 2020 hrs near Patels house at Nagori Mangalore some unknown persons murdered one unknown person and assaulted one Ananda with sharp weapon owing to some reason.
- A case under causing Hurt in committing Robbery along with Murder has been registered in Uppinngady Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1730 hrs at Pullotte Siribagilu village Puttur Taluk one Jayesh murderd Soumya W/o Lohith R/o Pullotte Siribagilu village Puttur Taluk and her son Jishnu with sharp weapon in her house and robbed gold ornaments from her possession.

- A case under Cruelty by Husband and his relatives, Criminal intimidation along with Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station on the complaint of one Suzan D Souza (26) w/o Roshan D Souza R/o Pandith House Munnur village Mangalore Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that on 18/07/2008 accused Roshan D Souza (husband), Lidwin D Souza and Rocky D Souza gave physical and mental harassment to one Suzan D Souza to bring more dowry and also gave life threat her.

- A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1730 hrs on NH 17 at Kodikal cross Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-A-3272 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-2055. As a result motorcycle rider one Sharan Raj (21) sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1000 hrs near U P Mallya road at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-9502 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Madhumathi (46) R/o Hoige Bazar Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1430 hrs near Mahaveera circle at Mangalore one Mahesh driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-1202 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-996. As a result Ramachandra Bhat (76) R/o Kodangal Moodabidre rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1445 hrs Vordelu Karimanelu village Belthangady Taluk one Yashodhara driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4316 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-2275. As a result motorcycle rider Ravi Moolya (26) R/o Peradi Village Belthangady Taluk and Jaya Poojary pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1330 hrs Karvelu Biliyoor village Puttur Taluk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-A-4215 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result driver and cleaner of said lorry sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Hurt, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 01/08/2008 at 1900 hrs at Kalenjimar Bandaru village Puttur Taluk accused Sheenappa Gowda and Ganesha assaulted one Monappa gowda (52) R/o Kalenjimar Bandaru village Puttur Taluk and damaged the pipes belonging to Monappa Gowda and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

On 02/08/2008 at 1230 hrs on credible information PSI (L&O) Ullal PS along with staff arrested one Anwar Hussain (33) Permannur village Mangalore Taluk and seized 250 grams of Ganja (worth Rs. 2,500/) from his bag. Police apprehended him while he was selling at bus stand at Thokkottu Mangalore .
- A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 2300 hrs PSI Surathkal PS on rounds arrested Jayashri (20), Geetha (25) and Bhanu (35) and Hasan (38) who were soliciting for prostitution at public place Kana bus stand Iddya village Mangalore Taluk.
